Well when my Mistress examined me just before booking me into the vet it turned out the pain had gone so she accused me of being a hypochondriac. I was unimpressed. It definitely hurt a lot. She did concede that just maybe I had trapped something and it was now all right, either way I didn’t have to go to the vet, which was probably a good thing.
There was one near miss and that was when my Mistress went out and needed to park the car in a car park. She had just turned into the road for the car park when she had a flash of inspiration. Parking there would have been a very bad idea. She had still got the roof box on the car from holiday and wouldn’t have fitted under the barrier. I’m just glad she realised before a nasty mess occurred as it would have taken some living down!
She remembered that her reason for leaving it on wasn’t just plain laziness, although I had my doubts, but the fact that she needs it again for the Saturday when she is organising the final breeding tests for some of our number. It will be the first time it has been run in the UK and she has lots of equipment she has to take for setting up. It’s followed by our fun day in the afternoon but I’ve asked if it’s all right for me to stay at home this time. The problem is that she’s always so busy and then I get fed up. I’m not one for crowds either and have a very loud bark when I put my mind to it. I’m not sure if I’m staying home alone or if Megan is staying with me. I know which option I’d prefer given that choice! Shadow and Ari will go as it’s a big family reunion for them. I know several of his full siblings and some of his half-siblings are going. Shadow will be in her element with so many of her children there.

Trust me on this Alfie, if she had done the roofbox/carpark barrier tango she would have NEVER lived it down!
