I thought you might think that I was exaggerating the state of the caterpillars so I took a photo of a single leaf. You have to bear in mind that there are hundreds of leaves and they are all covered in the same way that this one is. I don’t think infestation is a strong enough word, really I don’t.
Thank you for the comments saying how lovely my mum looks. I think she does too, but then as I’ve grown to look more like her as I’ve got older then I probably would say that. Mum is nearly 12 and I only hope I still look that good at her age. Mind you she has gone a little deaf and become very stubborn in her old age. I just have selective hearing and am stubborn anyway.
Megan has reached the point in her season where she isn’t fussy and would mate with anything given the chance. Anything it would seem except me and as far as I am concerned that is no bad thing, although I wish she would stop threatening me. She is having to be kept completely apart from Aristotle as he’s desperate to help her out.
Last night was the fancy dress. I will bring you photos at some point, but you can’t believe how long it took to get everyone ready. My Mistress painted her nails early in the day, but then had to redo them as they were all chipped. My Master, well that’s another story altogether. Let’s just say he makes one scary Count Dracula. It’s amazing what can be done with a wig, some make-up and some fake teeth and blood. I honestly don’t think I’d have recognised him if I hadn’t given him a sniff. That’s the great thing being a dog, we’re much harder to fool that humans are.
