The humans went into Antwerp for the day, all except my Mistress who decided to spend the day with us. We had a lovely quiet day plying with our new friend Bailey who is a soft coated wheaten terrier. She’s lovely and I think Ari has rather taken a shine to her. She is funny with her curly coat which seems to stop her seeing anything.
What I forgot to tell you was that I had some good news at the vet. They weighed me and I’m down to 28.5kg. I’m looking good, if I do say so myself. I’m not sure where I lost that 1.5kg but I don’t mind that it’s gone. I’m feeling good for it. I’m still heavier than Ari, but I’m taller than he is.
It’s going to be a long day in the car today. I’ll be in my crate but Ari has to sit on the back seat between Dan and Andy. His crate is now full of beer! I’ve asked what it’s worth not to crack open a few bottles on the way home. If I’ve got to sit surrounded by Belgian beer then they’ve got to expect that I will drink one or two… or twenty! Anyway, we had a good run round yesterday so we’ll probably sleep all the way today. We’ve got to get out for our Channel Tunnel check in, but then we can go back to sleep. I asked what happened if either of our chips failed and my Mistress has made quite clear to Ari and me that there is no way she would go back to the UK without either of us. I’m not sure how everyone else would get home but at least I know we’ll be all right.
My Mistress is hoping today will get off to a better start. Yesterday she found her hair conditioner had leaked all over her toothbrush. She only found out after she had put the toothbrush in her mouth, which was a bit of a shame, but at least her teeth will be nice and silky.
