As we crossed the border into Belgium, my Mistress announced you me that I was home, back in the land of my birth and might I say, very happy to be here. The journey was ok, although Aristotle found the car a bit too hot after a while and was a bit upset. When we got to the boat how it was moored made it difficult for us to get on. I am proud to say I totally overcame my fears and was much more confident than last time. Unfortunately, Ari who was already feeling a bit off colour got quite upset and once on he didn’t want to move from the little corner he found for himself. I’m not so confident as to be ready to walk round the boat yet, but I think I might get there. I’m just hoping that my little friend is feeling a bit brighter later as it will be much more fun if we can enjoy it together.
When we left the boatyard we started our journey down to Ipres. I think the plan is for us to get there later today. The forecast for today wasn’t so good so I’m not really sure what we’ll do. I think Ari and I will be quite happy to stay inside if there’s the opportunity. I’ve not phoned my Mum yet to say I’ve arrived but I think we are going to do that later when we’ve got more idea of what’s happening. I can’t wait to see her. I hope she’ll be really proud of me. It’s been a few years since she saw me and I don’t think I’ve turned out too badly.
Anyway, that’s all for now. If you’re reading this on the right day then it means I got the dongle to work. If not you might be reading this a day or two late in which case, you need to do some catching up. I’ll talk to you soon.
