Tuesday 28th May 2013 – Ice Cream

The best bit of yesterday afternoon was the ice cream. We didn’t go to the beach in the end, we went to a place called Sheepwash, which has a reservoir and the moors and surprisingly enough, some sheep. I had to have the indignity of wearing a double lead with Shadow and despite my attempts to pee on her, she ducked out of the way every time. I did find having to be so close to her while I pooed a little unnerving but other than that it wasn’t too bad. What was difficult was trying to cross the stepping stones across the stream. I was trying so hard to keep my paws dry but Shadow pulled me in. I didn’t panic. I was quite good and even put my paws in again later by my own choice. Ari just ran through it as happy as anything. Of course being a puppy he made the most of it and ran through it just for fun and then for even more fun ran straight and put his paws up my Mistress. We were all laughing away, with the exception of my Mistress who was trying to look stern to discourage him from doing it again.

It seems a bit unfair that my Mistress is the only one who can’t have ice cream but she kindly went and bought them for all the rest of use. She had to do two trips to the kiosk as she couldn’t carry five!

It was actually the longest walk I’ve done for a long time and I didn’t do too badly. My biggest problem was barking at the other dogs, it seemed rude not to! Ari would go up and say hello and lull them into a false sense of security and then I’d bark at them really loudly which took them rather by surprise.
