Yesterday the garden disappeared under a layer of white. It didn’t snow but it hailed for so long that it looked like a winter scene and it thundered too. More to the point there was a big flash of lightning and my Mistress wasn’t very happy. I always thought the humans were supposed to look after the dogs rather than the other way round!
We heard from Megan and she’s doing fine. She’s developing quite a bond with the lady and starting to follow her everywhere as only an Entlebucher can. My Mistress was feeling quite sad when it came to their normal walking time but then it rained so she didn’t feel quite so bad!
We had an email from a rescue centre that thinks they have a dog which is part Entlebucher. We’ve looked at the pictures and it certainly looks as though it might be one of us. It’s about 2 years old and can’t be more than a quarter Entlebucher as far as my Mistress is aware. It’s hard to know what we can do to help. My Mistress is going to send an email out with all the details to see if anyone is interested in adopting her. She’d like to go to see her but the dog is quite a way from us so it’s easier said than done. She said she might try to call when she takes Shadow for her eye test next Tuesday. I said she can only go to see her if she promises not to bring her home. I know what she’s like!
We rang to see where the blueberry bushes have got to that we ordered. Our account has been showing them as despatched for a few days. The saga has gone like this: they were sent out last Thursday…but the delivery company sent them to the wrong depot. They should have delivered them on Monday…but no one knows why they didn’t. They tried to deliver them yesterday…but when the van got here the driver couldn’t find them amongst his load. They should now be arriving later today – let’s wait and see!
