Megan is fine and settling well. My Mistress poke to her family before she left to come home to us and all was well. They love the fact that Megan is so cuddly and if I know Megan she’ll be loving having four people to one dog. It’s a good ratio if you want to be cuddled 24 hours a day. So now our Mistress is home and there are just the three of us to outnumber her. Here’s the bad news. She sat us all down and said that while Megan is away and our numbers are more manageable she is going to be really strict with us and expects some higher standards of behaviour. There is to be no barking when she is on the phone. We are to sit patiently and quietly when waiting to be fed. We will go outside in an orderly fashion and not bark when we are out there. It’s worse than having to make New Year’s resolutions! She is right though, while Megan was in Switzerland we all started to behave better and now that Ari is coming out of his teenage phase there really is no excuse. It’s just we all used to wind each other up and a ratio of 4 to 1 is much more difficult than 3 to 1. Ari is going to be going out on more training walks too, partly because my Mistress will miss taking Megan out and partly as she wants to put him through his Pets as Therapy qualification. With his swimming his leg is much stronger so she is hoping that formal walks won’t leave him limping. He’s quite excited in an apprehensive sort of way.
My Mistress’s map of North Yorkshire has caused a problem. While she was away my Master and Andy went to some caves and now want to put a sticker on the map for where they have been. My Mistress tried to explain it was her project but that hasn’t gone down too well. She’s thinking of letting them use different coloured stickers so she can see the difference.
