My Master has gone on a course today that we all hope he will never need to use. It was his birthday present from my Mistress last year and he’s only just got round to using it. He has gone on a ‘hostage rescue course’. Now you may say I’m only a dog, but do humans really do things like that for fun? To me it’s a little on the strange side. Of course, I may see it differently if I’m ever taken hostage and need rescuing, although something tells me my buddy Aristotle would be first in to rescue me and is the most likely of the family to have calculated exactly what needs doing and be successful.
The weather is doing its best to prove why it would be a good idea to live somewhere else. On the bright side it was very easy to get the washing dry yesterday. It was blow dried in no time. I prefer when it can sun dry, but we’ll settle for blow dried if that’s the option. It was the hail storms that were of more concern. You really didn’t want to find the washing was still on the line when any of them were passing overhead.
Growing plants in a garden and having dogs is a mutually exclusive situation. You can imagine the Venn Diagram – gardens with plants, gardens with dogs and in the middle a tiny little section too small to pay any attention to – gardens with plants and dogs. Never mind peeing on them, yesterday while playing ball the girls ran straight into the new pear tree. My Mistress thinks the tree is ok, but only time will tell. On the other hand they did a very impressive job of bending the metal stake that was supporting it. No amount of standing on it by my Mistress would get it back into shape. What is it going to be like when the vegetable and blueberry growing begins?
