Thursday 25th April 2013 – Megan is fighting fit

When I say Megan is fighting fit, I mean that I have never been so pleased to be bounced on and barked at by another dog as I was by Megan yesterday morning. She got up as though nothing had happened and couldn’t work out why she is on tablets and a special diet. She wanted to eat everything in the house and was none too thrilled to be told she is on a limited amount until we know everything has settled down ok. She barked quite a lot in complaint and by the end of the day My Mistress was back to being annoyed with her, so all is well in our little pack of animals.  To be fair my Mistress’s annoyance was more directed at me as Megan’s whining that she wanted more food was forgivable but me joining in when I haven’t gone without and am if anything a little overweight was apparently not ok. One rule for some and another rule for the rest!

My Mistress is fed up of people saying it is lovely and sunny and warm where they are. If you are one of those people, please keep it to yourself. It is not that warm here, particularly if you are in the wind. Most of the time it is not sunny, although all the daffodils coming out at once does provide a bit of a yellow glow, but sadly not one from which you can gain a tan.

I’m pleased to say that my Mistress is contemplating growing her own vegetables so our days of missing carrot peelings may be short-lived. I say that, but to be honest she doesn’t know the first thing about growing vegetables so it may be quite a while before she has any results.

  1. Glad Megan is feeling better. I don’t blame you Alfie, I’d have joined in too!
Your own veggies! The best bit about your own veggies is digging up the carrots – SO FUN ! *wag wag wag*
