I have told you all along how intelligent we are as a breed, with the notable exception of Shadow, well Bella is doing really well with her training. Her human has moved her on from the basic stuff to some more practical commands and Bella can now turn the side lamp on and off on command. She will, when told, go and push the button for the lamp. I was however alarmed when my Mistress said she should get Bella’s human to come to start working with us. It’s not that I don’t want to do stuff, it’s that I don’t want to do it on command.
There was a discussion in our house yesterday about which member of the family was most weird. The discussion was limited to the humans, but even so I came into the equation. After my Mistress had accused my Master of living in a fantasy world, because he spends all his time lost in computer games worlds, he came out with the line ‘Well at least I don’t think my dog has written his diary for the last seven years.’… ‘Think’! I was mortified, what does he think I do with my time? Has he never read any of what I write? I stood behind my Mistress and glared at him. I’ve also withdrawn his opportunity to cuddle me until he apologises.
Megan has agreed to go and stay away from home for a few months to see if it will help her in getting pregnant. She’s promised to write and we’ve said we’ll visit her, but it’s going to be very strange without her around. She will be coming back at the end of it and hopefully it will help her to become pregnant, so in the long run it will be worth it, but it will be quiet without her here.
