You will be pleased to hear that I won – that’s not to say that when it comes to the judging I will be placed first, it is the fact that time ran out and I avoided going in the bath. They’ll either like me the way I am or that’s their problem! Actually, if I’m being honest if they don’t like me and place me last of the five they are assessing that will be my problem as I’ll be upset, but my Mistress says they don’t actually tell us where they place us. I’m up against stiff competition. Not only that but the others all have youth on their side, well except Orson he’s not so young anymore but he’s still younger than me.
Ari and I have travelled down with my Mistress and stopped to see my grandparents on the way. It’s always nice to be spoilt by Granny and Ari has a particularly soft spot for Grandpa. We’ll see them again later too, as my Mistress has had to borrow a screen from them to project the presentation onto and will need to take it back. Ari is looking forward to seeing two of his half brothers, but I’ve tried to explain to him that today is not about playing together. He’s there to work and has an important role to play for the breed. To be honest I don’t think he was listening. It’s at the same place we had the fun day last September and he’s been reminiscing about the fun he had. He’s going to be a very disappointed puppy. He had hoped to see his sister Dora but she can’t make it which is a shame. At least he’s a humble dog, so if he does get placed above me he won’t make a big thing of it later. He’s not a bad dog to have as my best canine friend, although I still miss my old friend Elvis, but that all seems a very long time ago now.
