Sunday 7th April 2013 – looking at other males

I forgot to tell you about Tucker’s antics. You may remember that Tucker was one of Shadow’s last litter and he lives with Tino the rabbit. Well on Friday, Tino had gone outside to stretch his little bunny legs, leaving his cage door open and when he came back, he only found that Tucker had climbed right into his cage while he wasn’t using it. Can you imagine a puppy deciding to take up residence in a rabbit’s cage!

I’m getting excited about my Mistress coming home to me. They will be on their way back today, but won’t actually get here until tomorrow. My excitement at their return is outweighing my annoyance as to how they have spent today. I don’t know what my Master thinks of it all but they have spent the day looking at other males and thinking how good looking they are. Of course, my Master might mind rather less as the males concerned are dogs, but I am pretty fed up! My Mistress claims that she is doing it on behalf of Shadow but I’m not so certain. I think she should only have eyes for me and maybe at a push Aristotle. I don’t want her saying how handsome some other boy is, what a good strong chest he has, how nice his eyes are. How would she like it if I started looking at other humans like that?

I’ve suggested to my Master that we might like to take some time to tidy the house before she comes home. We may have overlooked putting all the rubbish out for the bin men, but we can at least get things straight in the house. Aristotle has offered to wash up, but that’s only because he’s hoping there are some food remnants he can clear up in the process.
