My Mistress had a much quieter day yesterday. She even enjoyed the luxury of an afternoon nap and said she could quite get used to it. Everything that Megan does is being analysed for whether it is a sign of being pregnant. We had news yesterday that it doesn’t look as though Annie is pregnant this time so now there is even more pressure on Megan. We are waiting for news of the birth of Quennie’s litter which will just make her even more anxious. Megan says she doesn’t think she is faking it this time. She is sitting very carefully and does seem a little larger across the rear, although I won’t say that in her earshot in case she takes exception to it!
One of my Mistress’s favourite pastimes in Switzerland is to visit the pet shop. This time worked out particularly well as the harnesses were half price s so she has bought me a new one, which Megan is going to borrow initially. It’s a blue one like Aristotle’s old one but a bigger size. I’m also particularly happy as my Mistress has bought us all some of our favourite malt and vanilla biscuits – they were the ones I offered to do anything including dance if she’d give me one!
The only thing that went wrong yesterday was when they went for a walk and my Mistress twisted her ankle and fell over. Her ankle was fine but she hurt her bad hand even more and it isn’t happy! She needs wrapping up in cotton wool and looking after. I shall take good care of her when she comes home, but I will have to rely on Megan and James looking after her until then.
