Yesterday was brilliant. The snow was not what I’d ordered so everything had to be indoors, but the hall we were in was just perfect and plenty big enough to have fun. I didn’t behave very well and was not in my Mistress’s good books. I was fed up that I couldn’t be with her and I barked a lot and I’ve got quite a big bark! I was grounded for some of the afternoon so I was even less happy. There were nine of us dogs in total. Basil and Dickens were there and so were several others including a lovely girl I hadn’t met before who is part Entlebucher and part collie. She fitted in just perfectly and had a great time with us all. It seems I’m losing my touch and I didn’t win the biscuit catch. I put it down to poor throwing by my Mistress. There was nearly a very nasty incident when my Master in his determination to win one of the races with Aristotle ran straight into the concrete wall. He’s hurt his hand quite badly but concluded he didn’t need hospitalisation but it was bad enough for him to get sympathy from my Mistress and that takes some doing.
Shadow won a couple of the games. I think she was showing off because her puppies were there. We were all worn out by the end of the day and more than happy to sleep all the way home in the car. We didn’t even mind an extra half hour in the car while my Master and Mistress stopper for a drink with our grandparents before coming back.
It’s funny seeing some of the young guns coming through and realising I’m not the young dude anymore. Bailey and Eiger are really turning into lovely boys and Basil and Dickens are growing up fast. I do feel the breed will be in safe paws with you guys to take over in the future.
