Plans are now in place to bring Megan home. As long as all goes to plan she will be home here with her family around her on the 8th of April. She will need to go to the vet for her scan just a few days later and we are all hoping that this time it is good news for her. I think that my Mistress is really hoping that by the time she is ready to mate again we will have a stud dog in this country so she doesn’t have all the travelling. We are hoping that one of the puppies from Shadow’s first litter may be ready to mate by then. As long as her hand is well enough, my Mistress is planning to collect Amigo the week before she goes for Megan, so that he is all sorted out and she can be here to take care of Megan without interruption. At the moment her hand is doing a good hunchback impression and she has been holding ice on it for much of the day to try to take the swelling down. I think she may have been overdoing her exercises.
My Mistress is going to be coming and going so much for the next few weeks and it’s all for us dogs. She loves it, but it just means she has to get all her work done so she doesn’t get behind. Sunday is our Fun Day and AGM for the club. It’s also exactly 100 years since the birth of the first Entlebucher that was ever officially registered in Switzerland so we are having a bit of a party to celebrate. It’s not every day you reach 100. I may be the oldest of the Entlebuchers there. There are older ones in England but they don’t tend to join in so much. Most of them are in retirement. I have fun with the young guns though and I know Aristotle is excited to be seeing some of his brothers and sisters and Shadow is looking forward to seeing more of her children so whatever the weather it should be a good day.
