Megan’s season seems to have stopped. We don’t yet know whether it will restart or whether things simply haven’t gone right for her again this time. She is having another blood test today and we will know more when we get the results of that on Tuesday afternoon. The good news yesterday was that Annie has not had a wasted trip to Germany and did eventually mate with the stud dog that she had gone to see. She is going to see him again today and we really hope that that goes well for her.
Aristotle and my Mistress’s trip to Crufts is becoming increasingly complicated. Because my Mistress’s hand is all bound up and in a large purple foam sling she cannot drive. Her plan to go on the train with James has become more complicated because James cannot go until Thursday night. Now my Master is going to take her down on the train before he goes elsewhere for work. She is trying to work out how little she can carry as she will only be able to take one small rucksack and that will need to include all of Aristotle’s things as well as her own. It would be far easier if she could eat normal food and didn’t have to take her food with her. I dread to think what it is she is going to have to leave behind. All I am saying is that I would not want to be sitting too close to her on the train on the way home on Friday! Shadow and I will be staying behind and all things considered that is probably a good job.
I cannot believe that the grass has been cut for the first time this year already. We have had dry weather for a number of weeks. I’m just hoping that this will not be the only dry weather we have this year!
