My Mistress is complaining that we dogs are a full time job. What did she expect with four of us? I suppose if we were just pets it wouldn’t be so bad, but with two girls breeding and then all the things to organise for the club she does rather make her own life difficult. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was only Crufts coming up, but then she’s got our Club AGM and Fun day and then in April not only has she got to collect Megan from Switzerland but she is doing the training for people interested in learning about the breed and wanting to go onto the Club’s judging list. We will all go to the Fun Day, except Megan but I’ve ducked out of the other things. I think Ari is going to Crufts and Shadow is going to the judges training. I just hope they get plenty of people booking to learn about our breed otherwise my Mistress will be very disappointed. She is giving a pod cast interview to Dog World over the phone today so we have all got to stay out of the way so she doesn’t get any background barking or playing on the recording.
I suddenly realised yesterday that the nights are getting lighter. I know it’s obvious, but I looked outside at five in the afternoon and realised I could still look out. It had been light when we went out first thing too. If it hadn’t been so cold I could almost have believed that summer was on its way. I suppose we could still have more snow before that happens though! I can’t wait for March as my Mistress has promised to plant more fruit trees in the garden. You may wonder why that matters to me, but it gives more things to aim at when I’m peeing. To be fair that may be why a couple of the first batch died, although I seem to remember that Aristotle chewing his way through the bark and branches of one or two might not have helped!
