If you can ever call our house ‘normal’ in some regards (and disregarding the influx of visitors) we are getting back to normal. My Mistress has threatened to clean the pen out naked, just because she can now that the camera has gone. This morning Dickens will be packing his bags and going off to start his new life. Puppy equipment is starting to be put away, after being washed you’ll be pleased to hear. It’s not going too far away as we are hoping to need it for Megan in only a few months’ time. Now we start to focus on the next hurdle. My Mistress seems to think that’s some work things she’s doing, but I prefer to focus on the things which include us. Next on the list is Crufts. We are already arguing over who gets to go. You may think I don’t bother given I have no wish to be on a stand being petted by strangers all day, but it is not as simple as that. If Shadow and Ari go then I get left behind in Kennels. Obviously Megan can’t go because she’ll be off on holiday with her boyfriend again. I’m hoping that Shadow will be in season about then, which would mean she can’t go and then it’s me and Aristotle. Ari is quite happy to be petted by anyone and I get some peaceful time at my grandparents. To me that sounds like the best plan. Of course it means that my Mistress has got to work out how to get Ari’s stroller out of the summerhouse and into the car, but that’s not today’s problem.
As a result of the bad weather being forecast my grandparents are coming to stay a day early, which is a bonus as far as I am concerned. Friday is going to be better still as the ratio of dogs to humans reaches one to one. As long as my Mistress is my one then I shall be happy. I’m guessing visitors will want the cute puppies and as James will be here Shadow will want to be with him, so my Master will have to have Megan as Ari still counts as a cute puppy!
