There are some moments when everything moves so quickly that you just have to stop for breath. My Mistress spent ages over last weekend trying to take photos of Beija to show how much her tail curls. For most people that would seem a little excessive, but the problem is that if our tails curl too far we are not allowed to breed because it is a trait from the Appenzeller and an important distinction between our breeds. Beija had thought she was going to live in Switzerland to be a breeding dog, but my Mistress had started to prepare her a week or two ago for the fact that may not happen. Anyway, to cut a long story short, yesterday the decision was taken that little Beija will not move to Switzerland as her tail does indeed curl too far. For a few hours Beija was forlorn and miserable. However, it wasn’t very long before my Mistress went to her with good news. You see, we have a very long waiting list for puppies and so my Mistress had a look at the list to see who would be most suitable and it turns out that little Beija is going to be living very near to Dickens and not that far from Tucker. Well, when she was told that she was overjoyed. The whirlwind bit was when my Mistress told her that means she will be moving on Saturday. She had been expecting to be living here for another five weeks. She didn’t know whether to be excited or terrified, but my Mistress gave her a cuddle and told her she will be fine. That means that with Dickens leaving on Thursday and Beija on Saturday there will only be Tess left for t a few days before she goes on the following Thursday. You can just see how spoilt our little Tessie is going to be for those few days can’t you?
As with all whirlwinds it has all sorts of consequences. It means Megan can go to Switzerland a little sooner than she had been planning. So now Megan is all excited about her big trip. I’m not sure exactly when she will be going, my Mistress is trying to sort that out at the moment.
Do make the most of the puppycam as it is being turned off tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.
