Well the puppies have finally got round to trying their collars on. The reactions have been mixed. Dickens was not happy and tried to have a good scratch. He had a bit of a howl too but them decided the answer was probably to tuck into a biscuit or two. The others just rolled over and went to sleep. They won’t wear them all the time. At this stage they will only have them on for short times when they are attended and not all playing. Now this is important so that you know who is who. Tess (Britannia) has a yellow collar. Beija has a
purple collar. Dickens (Bumble) has a black collar. Basil (Beethoven has a blue collar) and Tucker (Bossanova) has a red collar. Tucker was having some blanket time when the others first tried their collars so he has that to try in a while.
If the weather is good this afternoon they are going to play outside for ten minutes or so. If it starts pouring with rain that will be delayed a day in the hope it stops.
They coped fine overnight having had their supper at 10pm last night and didn’t eat again until 7am this morning. It was partly so my Mistress could get some more sleep but as she spent half the night coughing it didn’t make much difference.
They are all very round and cuddly little bundles of puppies. Three of them are now over 4kg. Dickens is now 4240g, Tucker is 4120g and Tess 4020g. Then Basil is 3940g and Beija 3750g.
They were very happy to see the candy cane back from the wash. They do like cuddling up to it. Sadly owl has to head to the hospital as his stuffing is coming out. Polar bear is still awaiting his minor operation on his leg. I’m hoping to be able to report they have been operated on later as I don’t think the puppies will want to be without owl for long, he’s their favourite.
