Sunday Midday – Getting on with the big dogs

All of us ‘big’ dogs have spent time around the puppies but the interactions are becoming much more enjoyable as they grow up. If I’m honest, tiny puppies scare me. Mind you, most dogs scare me! Beija was barking at me to get my attention this morning. She just wanted to say hello. It’s good really as she’s going to be living with several other Entlebuchers and regularly seeing other dogs. Yesterday, Aristotle was washing Basil through the railings of the pen. It was wonderful to watch. Ari says he’d like to take a bigger role in taking care of them, but he’s just a bit too enthusiastic to be allowed in the pen with them. Megan would love to help too, but Shadow is less keen on that idea.

Tucker this morning showed the first real interest in his comforter from Tino. Not in a bad way. There was not picking it up, but he was happily snuffling it, which was interesting. They are spending much more time playing now. It’s much harder for my Mistress to creep in to do cleaning up while they are asleep. They have reached the hanging off her pyjama leg phase!

If you’ve spotted that polar bear isn’t in the pen, after their overenthusiastic play with him the other day he needs repairing. My Mistress has told them she will try to do that today.

Beija only added 40g yesterday she is the only one below 3kg now. She weighs 2840g. Beethoven added 110g to reach 2060g. The others are getting too big for the pillowcase that they are weighed in and really need to be asleep for the process to work. Britannia added 120g to reach 3120g. Tucker made up for his slow day by adding 110g to reach 3200g and Dickens is doing very well having added another 210g to reach 3390g.
