We have crates that we go in from time to time. When I say ‘we’ it’s mainly the others. I can be trusted around the house and only generally go in a crate when I’m being a real nuisance, which you can imagine is not often. Anyway, the crates are well made with a clever system of clips to keep them securely fastened. They can be folded down but it’s a fiddly job and even my Mistress finds it difficult. When my Mistress took Megan for a walk, she left Aristotle in the crate for a while so that Beth in looking after the puppies didn’t have to worry where Ari was. When my Mistress came home both Ari and I greeted them at the front door. My Mistress’s first thought was that Beth had given Ari a five minute break. That would be wrong. Aristotle had somehow worked out how to fold down one panel of the crate and let himself out. How can he do that? He’s a dog. He doesn’t have opposable thumbs. What he does have is too much intelligence and determination for his own good!
The pen has been erected ready for the puppies. My Mistress had forgotten just how much of the office it takes up. Next week will be an interesting exercise as she needs to move the big chair out of the office to put the small pen in place for when she is moving the puppies around. That would be a lot easier if she hadn’t just built the pen in the way. I think the key might be doing everything in the right order and having enough help to do it. That will be next Sunday then! We’ve got to try to do it in a way there is no interruption of puppy cam too. We’d hate you to miss too much of the action here in the Little Puppy House. It will also be easier for us to bring you little videos, which means we can bring you sound as well. We can also bring you better still photos as my mistress will be back at her desk and a little more organised.
The next jobs are to disinfect the pen and to put the toys in place ready for the little ones to have some fun.
