Well after a sleepless night of puppies getting stuck, the roll bars are being removed today. Shadow will have to be a little more careful not to roll on them near the edges but at least the smallest is larger than the smallest one was last year, although the largest is a little smaller. On the bright side, if my Mistress gets a little more sleep she may be less grumpy! As you will see on the webcam, the box suddenly seems quite a bit bigger without the bars in place. My Mistress has also put the bedding round a different way so that as they start to go to the toilet on their own they will learn to go on the strip of newspaper at the side, which for your benefit is out of view of the camera.
When my Mistress checked them over at weighing time, no one’s eyes appear to have opened yet, but if you look at the eyelids it won’t be very long now.
Britannia has gone back into an eating frenzy. She seems to have gained 120g in one day to reach the remarkable 1100g. Boadicea added 80g to reach 960g, while all their brothers are now passed the kilogram mark. Bossanova 1070g, and Bumble and Beethoven are both 1030g.
