You do one job and create another. My Mistress was so pleased with herself for sorting the tumble dryer problem out so efficiently and managing not to disconnect the webcam in the process. She would have been even more pleased if later on she hadn’t realised she has now got a misshapen wedding ring and has lost three tiny diamonds out of it. She was last seen on her hands and knees looking at the floor in all the places where she might have trapped her finger between the tumble dryer and the door frame.
Today is day 7 for the puppies. They aren’t really a week old by my reckoning until tomorrow so I won’t be singing to them until then. They are now at the stage where the heating pad has been put away and the covered washed ready for next time. It’s funny as we move though the milestones of puppy growth. The next thing to be put away will be the scales we use at the start and then it won’t be long before we start to assemble the big puppy pen. At least at that point my Mistress will get back to her desk and we’ll be able to be around her more easily. She has already admitted that she will probably carry on sleeping with the puppies long after she really needs to. I’m guessing when she has had a few more litters the novelty may wear off but for now she loves the whole maternal thing and it helps to make up for not being able to have children of her own.
It will be fun with the puppy cam when we do move up to the office. You will get a much better view of activity if we set it up well and by that stage you get them playing as well as eating and sleeping. We’ve got a lot of exciting events before that though so keep watching.
