Monday 12th November 2012 – Counting Down

My Mistress is expecting the big day to be Sunday. It could be a little before that, it could be a little after that but that is what she is thinking. I did explain that the important thing was probably what Shadow is thinking but she dismissed my intervention.   Anyway, what she thinks is going to be less relevant than what her temperature is and how she starts behaving – Shadow that is, not my Mistress. We’ve got her charts out from last year so we can compare what is happening and everything is set up ready. So far, thankfully she isn’t showing any signs of first stage labour so we are hoping the week will progress with not too much stress until we get the real event.

We’re still trying to work out the best sleeping arrangements. It was me that put a spanner in the works when I refused to share a room with Megan. I know she was going to be in her crate but that’s not the point. If she is in the same room as me she can still make threats and I just know I won’t sleep. I think she is going to be moved to the front room, which will be a good place for her too so I think in the end everyone is happy. Ari and I share the office. My Mistress is in with Shadow but is where we can see her and Megan is not too far away but far enough for me to relax. We need to talk to the tv people too about getting the camera set up. It’s going to be an exciting week. Watch this space as we will bring you news as it happens. It will be the view from right outside the whelping room brought to you by your truly.
