Monday 29th October 2012 – Bach’s worse than his bite.

It has been pointed out to me that as names go, Bach would be better than Beethoven for a dog. However, you know what it’s like to be bullied and can you imagine all the jokes the poor dog would face if it was called Bach? Berlios, Beethoven, Brahms none of them have the same jokes attached as calling the poor thing Bach. At the top of the girls list are Britannia and Boadicea and on the boys list with Beethoven is Bossanova. I know I have a common name, but I think my Mistress may be getting carried away since all the lovely comments she’s had about Aristotle’s names. We are expecting Beethoven to be a gentle dog and Boadicea to be trouble!

The clock change did not go quite according to plan in our house. Now you may think that is entirely our fault but you wouldn’t be completely right. Our Mistress had sat down with us and explained what was happening. She had asked us very nicely if we could all just have a little bit of a lie in as she was tired and we all needed to adjust anyway. I was more than happy with the arrangement and Ari promised to be good. Unfortunately at six this morning my Master received a text message to his phone and we took that to mean it was the alarm going off and we could get up now. So in traditional fashion we both bounced on our Mistress. Well you should have heard the response we got. It isn’t repeatable so I can’t put it here, but you can probably imagine. She is now asking whether we might let her have more of a lie in tomorrow and I told her, if the phone goes off I cannot be responsible for controlling Aristotle and I will take it as a sign to get in with her. She is taking a sledgehammer upstairs in order to deal with the phone of it goes off too early.

  1. Oooops – how come Dad didn’t get in trouble and it was you guys? Huh? 🙂

We have the clock thing next week – I’ll see how I feel about co-operating, especially as the humans were up at just after 5am today (on a Sunday) – I don’t like being woken up early, so we’ll see if they like it next week? Tee Hee

    Wags to all

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂
