Most of the family are now home, some of the family are not. My Mistress, having been to the supermarket to buy some emergency changes of clothes, set off for Switzerland to collect Megan as we headed to North Yorkshire to our own beds. It was a bit of a squeeze in the car, but we managed and Shadow was glad to be heading home to her own bed. The last I heard of our Mistress she was in a hotel just north of Strasbourg feeling very tired and trying to work out on the map how to avoid going round Strasbourg in tomorrow morning’s rush hour. She even went to the trouble of buying a French road map as she doesn’t entirely trust her satellite navigation system anymore. Megan has now mated with Leon twice and we are waiting to find if she needs to go again today. If she does my Mistress is going to try to meet her on route rather than drive all the way to our friends’ house to then drive right across Switzerland.
On a different note, Aristotle was very happy with his birthday present. He simply loves his bed. I have to say that he looked so comfortable that I just couldn’t resist taking his photograph. It almost made me think that I’d like one like that, but it would take a lot for me to give up the one I have cherished for the last seven years. On the birthday front the good news is that my Mistress will have brought Megan home in time for her birthday and all things considered I think we should make a special effort to hold a little party for her. I’m willing to let bygones be bygones as long as she will do likewise. I’m actually hoping that with her hormones as they are Megan might be feeling more mellow and therefore be nice to me. Let’s hope anyway!

Oh Alfie dog. I’d like a bed like that as well. With a satin comforter to stay warm at night. *sigh*
