For reasons known only to themselves, my Master and Mistress are spring cleaning in autumn. You would think that is a good thing and I suppose it is, but what they are finding tells you so much about them. My Mistress can’t bear to part with her string puppets, my master has trains. My Mistress wants to keep all her videos of children’s tv programme, despite no longer having a video player. Then in the dining room they found a rogue Christmas decoration. You could say it’s a bit early for this year, but alas, it’s actually very late for last year! Then there were the painkiller tablet packets they mysteriously found on the book shelf. Who? Why? Oh I can’t even put a sentence together for that one. I’m looking forward to what might be discovered in some of the less often used places in the house – like the loft. In my experience that is a plate that everything goes but rarely comes out of and my Mistress says they are even going to do the loft so I will just have to wait to see whether there are any monsters lurking up there.
After another incident of my computer refusing to start, which went on to involve a screwdriver and a vacuum cleaner – don’t ask, my new computer has been ordered and my Mistress has even said she’ll help me to set it up. She seems to think she’s found a way to make the set up easy, but given that the purchase involved quite a bit of swearing and then shouting at the call centre employee who rang to say they thought her credit card was being used fraudulently, I’m not holding out a lot of hope!
If you are waiting for news on Shadow then I would get a cup of tea and put your feet up. She is clearly going to start her season when she is good and ready and not a day before! Women.
