Sunday 15th July 2012 – A lovely day

Yesterday was a lovely day. It was great spending the day chasing balls around my grandparents’ garden. Ari didn’t want to stop even when his leg started hurting. I do enjoy going to see them. I feel very at home in their house and I think granny and my Mistress smell quite similar which I always find very comforting. You humans go by looks but for us dogs it’s the smell that counts. Aristotle went investigating and got himself stuck when he accidentally closed the bedroom door behind himself and then couldn’t open it. He had to call me to go and find my Mistress to rescue him, but it was all sorted very quickly. By the time we got home the girls were all bouncy after their quiet day and Ari and I just wanted to find a quiet corner to go to sleep in. We reached an amicable agreement in the end.

Today I’d like to wish a very happy wedding anniversary to my Master and Mistress. I can’t believe it’s been six years since our little misunderstanding when they left me out of their honeymoon. I was still a puppy back then, not even the age Ari is now. How times have changed. From a dog’s point of view it’s not been a bad place to spend the last six years. Obviously I wish they had let me by an only dog so I could have had all the attention, but I quite like my housemates, so I’ll forgive them. We were reminiscing about the early days back in Belgium. Ah they were good times, with more mole hills than a dog can count, a wood directly out of the back garden gate and being able to visit my mum once in a while. Ah well, nothing stays the same.
