Then today is better than yesterday and last night went according to plan. We’ve been having BIG problems with the hosting of our websites. Something to do with a faulty kernal, although when my Mistress first told me I thought she said colonel and said he should be court marshalled for causing us so much trouble. My poor Mistress has been tearing her hair out and there is a lot there to go at. Anyway, they are moving us to another server and here I thought we were talking about waitresses, which shows how much I really understand about computers. I had totally bought into the idea of little gnomes living inside the box writing very quickly, but it turns out that I was being misled.
If this does not work my Mistress says we have no choice but to go to another host. That much I did understand. I remember the trauma when we moved to this one, with my Mistress originally liking the name of Fat Cow and then discovering that you shouldn’t choose the host for your websites based on the name. It’s not like picking a horse to gamble on at the races, although I don’t think it’s very wise to do that based on names either.
When we said we’d move, my Mistress was overlooking the fact that today is Friday 13th and the less said about that the better. Not being superstitious she wasn’t at all worried when she realised…much! Of course if you aren’t reading this, you won’t know it’s all gone horribly wrong – or more to the point you will, but not by having read what I’ve written. Anyway today’s promotion at Alfie Dog Fiction is ‘horror’ in honour of either it being Friday 13th or of the nightmare that is computer problems!
