Friday 22nd June 2012 – Oh dear – big boxes are hard to hide

I know I have to own up sooner or later to buying the stroller for Aristotle, but I was working on later. Except – it’s arrived and the box is quite big…and heavy…and I need help building it. To be honest I need help getting it out of the box, before I even get to the bit with the instructions that don’t make any sense. I think this may be the point where I have to hold up my paw and admit to what I’ve done. We all love little Ari, it’s bound to be all right…isn’t it?

My main job at the moment is to cheer my Mistress up. She hasn’t really been very well recently and she has got to the point where she is completely fed up with it. She was supposed to be going out last night and had been looking forward to it for nearly a year, but wasn’t well enough to go. She’s feeling a bit sorry for herself. That’s where I really come into my own. I do a very good line in consolation. I am very snuggly and completely undemanding. I’m more than happy to lie snuggled up doing nothing for hours at a time and in fairness Aristotle is getting the hand of that one too. Megan and Shadow aren’t so good at sitting still, but we can do it for hours, taking lying doggo to a whole new level. In any case, seeing as the weather has quite definitely gone back to being gloomy, what’s the point in bothering to get up anyway? That’s the great thing with computers. My Mistress can sit and talk to people, work, see what’s going on and never has to leave the house, or get dressed. Of course if she takes the girls out for a walk and hasn’t got dressed people might ask a few questions, but she hasn’t tried that yet.
