I have been taken to task. My Mistress has told me that is enough is enough and to be honest she probably does have a point. I wasn’t like this in the past. There were days when you didn’t hear a peep out of me. Some of it has come about as our little pack has increased and I found that I have to exert myself by talking more loudly, but there’s more to it than that. You may remember I was on some tablets a while ago that had a very unpleasant effect on my personality and one of the side effects was that I started to bark all the time. I was just about getting over that when Amigo moved in and to be honest I barked quite a lot when he was around. Then it just became a bit of a habit, what with Megan being hormonal and trying to make sure I wasn’t totally bottom of the pile. Anyway, my Mistress has called time. I can either sit quietly like a good dog or I can go and take a time out in a crate. I have seen the point very quickly and only have to hear the word crate to remember that I am a good dog really who knows exactly how to behave. I’m supposed to be setting a good example to Aristotle. I’m his mentor and it’s no good if I misbehave. To be quite honest he doesn’t need much encouragement. He’s already eaten one lot of Andrew’s homework this week and I’ve never shown him how to do that. I’m going to prove that I can be as quiet as a mouse. A mouse that forgets and barks every so often, but a mouse none the less.
