Doggie paradise is back. The bar b q has been lit. Oh the opportunities to steal food. The chances to catch what’s dropped and the joy of eating someone else’s food in the great outdoors. The downside is the smoke in the house and having to fight the humans off to get to the food, but this is the life for a dog, or five. Fortunately my Mistress can eat neither burgers or sausages, so buys herself enough steak to have a spare mouthful for me. I’m a spoilt dog, but you know what they say, ‘a spoilt dog is a happy dog’!
Other than that it was a quiet day in which my main job was to come up with questions for next week’s pub quiz. By an error of marking in last week’s quiz my Mistress’s team which went under the banner of ‘Hopeless’ ended up winning. The prize for which is to set the next one. No amount of pleading ,that they really didn’t score enough to win, worked and she is now faced with setting the Jubilee Quiz. We can’t even talk about it with my Master as he will be taking part and I know you can’t keep secrets so I’d better not even tell you what the rounds are or I’ll be in serious trouble with my Mistress.
We have been working out how to get Amigo to his new home. It’s complicated as he’s going to live in Ireland. He’s been asking lots of questions about what language they speak and whether he’ll understand them. I’ve told him he can help my Mistress with research for her new book, but he said it may be a while before he’s ready for that. He can start thinking about that when he’s settled in, although from looking at the map he might have to travel a little way to get to the right area.

Woof! Woof! Tasty! Enjoy Delish BBQ. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar
We had a BBQ yesterday too. I supervised all the cooking, but none of the sausages or burgers fell to the ground Grrr.
Yay Alfie,
Glad your BBQ time has finally arrived!! I’m lucky cos it’s year-round here and Dad always puts a little extra on for me – Tee Hee 🙂
I hope your Mum’s plans for Amigo work out ok, my Mum feels her pain, she had to get her Dog from Guernsey to the Isle of Man one time – no easy task either!! In the end she found someone with a plane and paid them to take them – only problem, Mum didn’t travel too well (I won’t go into detail) – Harry the Golden, he was fine!! 🙂
Best of luck,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
