Megan was a little more circumspect on the phone last night. She had a wonderful day walking in Brasschaat Park and meeting the lovely lady that was my first human mum, but now she’s getting very worried about meeting Alwin-Luca later this afternoon. She was telling me she’d seen a red squirrel and I thought back to the days of writing my Woodland stories about all the creatures we used to meet. My Mistress has promised that she will see if she could arrange to take me and Ari for a long weekend, but with the possibility of puppies I can’t see it happening very soon. It was good to hear news of my real mum and one of my sisters too. I do like to hear how they’re doing.
My day was rather less exciting. We get plenty of walks, but for the rest of the time I’m stuck with trying to entertain a puppy. You know how it is with children on long car journeys, well that is how it is sharing a kennel with a puppy. I’m at that age when I could sleep the day away given the opportunity, although to be fair, I’ve been at that age since I was Ari’s age! Sleep is something I found I was good at early on and it’s always good to focus on your key strengths.
Shadow is missing us all. She didn’t want her breakfast yesterday, which isn’t a good sign. At least she’ll have James back with her this evening so her life will return to something approaching normal. Meanwhile, I’ll go back to another game of i-spy to pass the time with the youngster.
Good luck this afternoon, Megan. We’re all thinking of you.
