Megan is off for another blood test this morning. Anyone would think she was about to give birth, the way it’s got me pacing up and down. Aristotle is finding it all too much in other ways. I guess that’s the problem of him still being more of a man than I am! The hormones being given off by Megan are driving him crazy. He can’t be in the same room as her and can’t just have a gate between them. He could clear a dog gate at one leap, if he could get to an in season bitch the other side. To be honest, he could clear Beechers Brook, in the Grand National, the way things are going. We now find ourselves put in another room with the door firmly closed when the girls are being let out. I just shrug and accept that’s how it is, but Ari whines and boy can he whine! All I can say is that I’m glad she’s going away for a few days because otherwise I’d be having some very serious words with him before the week was out. I think it’s probably a blessing that he’s unlikely to make it as a stud dog. I just hope he doesn’t ask me about the reality of the inevitable operation he will be facing!
Before yesterday we had a list of 17 possible puppy names. With your suggestions that is now a list of 52 and next week we will need you to start helping to whittle that down to a more manageable list. There is no way in the world that Megan is going to have 52 puppies. She’s not likely to have many more than about 6, if we’re lucky. So our aim to get a list of 5 boys names and 5 girls names ready, but we’ve got weeks to do that in yet.
I’m off to put Ari in his place, before he drives us all insane!
