Wow. It seems you have taken to this name choosing thing. I’m impressed. We’ve got a while to work on it together over the next few weeks. Keep the names coming in and then I’ll put them all in a list for you to vote on. We already had seventeen possibles, but some of yours are much better than the ones we’d come up with. We’ll announce the winner of the suggestions next week when my Mistress comes back from the Netherlands. That will just be the winner of the book – we won’t have decided which ones will be used by then. We might offer another prize later.
Megan went for her first blood test yesterday. She was remarkably brave, which is better than the rest of us would have been. Anyway it says she’s not quite ready to go to meet Alwin-Luca, which is what we were expecting. At the moment she’s told him she will be on her way on Friday, but that is flexible if she needs to go a little sooner or later. I’ve got everything covered this end. My Mistress has shown me where everything is. She’s marked the packets of food with the day they are for. I know I won’t be in the house to prepare them, but at least my Master can ring me when he needs to check anything.
One of my friends (also called Alfie) is having problems over getting paid for a day’s work. I’ve told him that the Pet Dogs’ Democratic Party is right behind him in his claim for equal pay for work of equal value. He should at the very least be being paid the minimum wage and must make sure he gets the right amount of breaks during the day. Don’t settle for anything less than you’re worth. If they won’t pay you then don’t do any more work! I’m guessing he’s going to have difficulty arguing for pension rights on casual work or holiday pay for that matter, but the very least he needs is a good biscuit ration. You tell them.
