Monday 23rd April 2012 – Your turn for Mischief! A bit of a competition.

Now it’s Monday and that’s the day we take part in Monday Mischief – otherwise it would be called Wednesday Mischief! Anyway,  we’ve all been good this week, give or take the odd eaten remote control and other minor mishaps. What that means is I can’t write about our mischief so it seems like a perfect opportunity for you to start some mischief of your own. Here’s what you have to do. You need to tell us what you think the puppies should be called. The names must begin with a ‘B’ and you need to send them to me either by email or in a comment to this post. The best suggestion will win a prize of one of my Mistress’s books – you can even choose which one. Obviously I mean one of the ones she has written and not one off her bookshelf that she was about to read. I think she might be a bit annoyed if I gave one of those away. If we really like your suggestions then we might actually use them when the puppies arrive. (We do already have a list we’ve been putting together so there are extra Brownie points for coming up with the ones my Mistress already likes!  – It helps with her persuading the rest of the family if she is not alone in suggesting a name, mind you if you come up with the ones my Master is campaigning for then you might be totally overlooked in the judging.) Names should not include any rude words either, before you get too mischievous and probably no body parts either.

You can tell I’m getting all excited about the whole thing and Megan’s only at the pre-mating blood test stage today.  What am I going to be like when they actually arrive?

  1. Ooooh Alfie,

This sounds like a fun game – I’m just wondering though why they need to start with a ‘B’ – did I miss that bit?

    Anyway here are my suggestions……

    Bailey
    Bertie
Better be good at Mischief – Tee Hee
    Bob
    Belinda
    Brenda

Ok, I think I’m done – did you like my little bit of Mischief buddy? I couldn’t resist!! 🙂

Hope you’re having a fun day

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

  2. Woof! Woof! This is exciting … how about Booker, Buster, Buddy (BUD), Boogie, BRIT, Baxter, Boomer, Byron, Bree, Brandon, Bella, Baja, Bell, Britney, Mmmm I think this is enough. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar

  3. Ooo exciting times!! I have spent a bit of time thinking of B names and have come up with the following

    Blaise/blaze (spelling dig bitch delendent)
Bonnie (was my Lucy’s original name 🙂 )
    Benji
    Brandi
Bramble (although to me this is more of a retriever name I think)
Bella (reminds me of a black lab though!)
    Baxter

    That’ll do for now I think 🙂

  4. We’e hoping to call our future puppy Bastien… which just happens to start with a B! We think the puppy will like being called Baz for short.

Good luck Megan (and well done for your tests!).

  5. Dear Alfie,
You don`t know us but we we met your Mistress at Crufts – the dog show in Birmingham – in March. She told us all about Entlebuchers and we are thinking of becoming owners one day.
We discovered your diaryand enjoy reading your daily entries, keep up the good work!
We were pleased to hear that Megan has passed her tests and that you will be welcoming new puppies into your family soon.
Your idea of a competition to choose names is brilliant and we would like to add
BERNIE and BOSUN to the list.
Please send our best wishes to all your family
