Monday 2nd April 2012 – Caught in the act of Mischief

I am writing this under duress. My Mistress has insisted I write a public apology. I would therefore like to apologise to all our readers yesterday. There was no such study by an American University. It was just that it was the 1st of April and I thought I might try to make the most of it on behalf of the majority of the dog community. I would just like to state that I don’t apologise to the Jack Russells. Let’s face it, you deserve it. I have a very long memory and I don’t forgive easily!

Yesterday wasn’t actually how I thought it was going to be in the end. Megan pleaded to be allowed to go on the walk in the morning and promised to be good. She can now proudly claim that she has been to a service at both the village Chapel and the church in a neighbouring village. There were a number of dogs there and Megan was true to her word and was one of the best behaved. She didn’t bark a note out of place and sat quietly by my Mistress’s feet while indoors.

We also heard over the weekend that Shadow’s brother Rocky is going on a very big adventure. He is moving to Indonesia this summer. He has already lived in both the UK and Germany, but is now moving even further afield. He’d written to say he was going to see their mum in Austria this week so both Shadow and Aristotle sent photos for him to take. Aristotle then started asking lots of questions about his grandmother, Akai. Shadow felt quite sad that she didn’t really know many of the answers. Now he wants to go and meet her too. It’s a shame it takes so long to drive to places.

  1. Your mistress is very brave. No way my humans would allow me in a place where there you have to first be quiet and then listen to music and singing. I’ve been known to howl along to street musicians, not always in tune but I’ve been told I have a strong voice so I keep trying.

  2. Hey Alfie,

I have to say how utterly disappointed I am that it wasn’t true – I was SO excited!! I even think Mum was gonna roll over and give in!!

An apology under duress, does that actually count as a real apology? Tee Hee

    Great one buddy,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂
