Just because he’s been learning to do tricks in his puppy classes he now thinks we should all be watching him. I could do tricks if I wanted to. I just wouldn’t stoop so low. I’m not some clown in a circus. I’m a serious working dog. I may not actually do a great deal of work, but it’s the thought that counts. I can see that some of the tricks he’s learning are ones that could be used in a working capacity, but I don’t need to spend my day watching him perform. He’s been learning to twirl, twist, tap and touch – that is do a little circle to the left, a little circle to the right and then lift his right paw and touch my Mistress’s hand and then his left paw to her left hand. My Mistress has said she’s going to skip teaching him to bring her a tissue when she sneezes, as he’d be running to the tissue box every five minutes.
All the plans are now finalised for Megan’s trip to Switzerland next month. She is going for her final tests to be able to have puppies. She’s very excited. There is just one small problem. My Mistress is now concerned that her season might start a little earlier than we were expecting and if that happens she might have to go straight to the stud dog rather than having much of a break between the two trips. I’m not sure I’m ready for more puppies around the house. I’ve only just got over Aristotle’s litter and I’m definitely putting my paw down about keeping any more. It’s hard work being a father figure to Aristotle I’m not ready to take another youngster on just yet.
