Don’t forget there’s still time to enter our competition to win tickets to Crufts. If you look at Saturday’s diary you will find all the details and can enter up to 6pm GMT tomorrow. It isn’t long now and Ari is so looking forward to meeting you all. He is becoming a real pain to live with, talking about it all the time.
Meanwhile back at Monday, it hasn’t so much been Ari up to mischief as all of us. For reasons I cannot explain yesterday was a barking day. It was in the air. The girls felt it too so when we had all had breakfast and my Mistress was still very sleepy and didn’t really want to face the day, Shadow started barking. My Mistress asked her nicely to shut up. Then Megan joined in. At which point my Mistress started to look a little harassed. Then I thought it would be a good idea to get my comments in so I started barking and the Ari followed my lead. Oh you should have heard the noise and it wasn’t even 8am. Now, fortunately we were indoors and we live in a detached house as it was Sunday morning and my Mistress said none of our neighbours would want to hear it. Unfortunately it was one of those things that once you’ve started and despite the fact my Mistress was looking decidedly frazzled round the edges, you just don’t stop. It all when a bit wrong as we were ‘separated’ for our own good. Shadow was put in the utility and told to think about her behaviour. Megan stayed in the snug, and Ari and I were taken back to the office so my Mistress could keep an eye on us. It was one of those things that afterwards you just can’t remember why exactly you did it, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. The girls did get a good long walk out of it ‘to burn off their surplus energy’. Ari went too, but as he has a pulled muscle he had to stay on the lead which he was less happy about.
You wouldn’t think from this picture that he could make as much noise as he can, but he’s got a good pair of lungs on him and has a fine Entlebucher voice.
