Now, I’m not going to name names. I’ll let you work it out for yourself, but I have discovered a perfect money making scheme. My Master had a problem with his computer. His computer has a warranty, but of course in the best of traditions that expired on Monday and the problem occurred on Thursday. Anyway, the problem was that a Windows download had hung while installing. He couldn’t close his machine. If he turned it off and turned it back on, there is was again, still trying to install. You just know that when twelve hours have gone by and you still can’t get onto your computer that something has gone wrong. So he rang the helpdesk. That was the point that the money making idea comes into play. The helpdesk for the company whose software had made his machine unusable suggested he would like to pay them £46 before they would help to fix it. As you can imagine, he suggested that they might like to fix it without him paying them any money! He was on the phone to them for three hours. I think that means that the winner was the telephone company. I wonder if the company with the software owns the telephone company too!
You will be pleased to know that my ear is now improving. I am enjoying having my tablets wrapped in marzipan, so I am in no hurry to say it is getting better, not unless I could be prescribed to have just marzipan for a while to cheer me up. Shadow is also please as she is off out for her first walk today after being cooped up indoors. She is still going to be frustrated as she will be on the lead, but another day or two and she can run like the wind. It will do Megan good to have her partner in crime back. She doesn’t run nearly so much without Shadow to cause trouble with.
