The snow has completely failed to melt round here. Ari has got to quite enjoying playing in it, at least once my Mistress cleared an area by the back door. Bef0re that there was a hilarious episode that we weren’t quick enough to capture on film, in which Ari came running toward the open back door and then went into a complete skid on the ice approaching the door and was launched over the threshold into a heap in the middle of the floor. He didn’t know what was going on, particularly as we were all standing around laughing.
I thought you might enjoy a couple of pictures from our game of chase. I can still corner a lot faster than he can, but it won’t be very long before he’s catching me. He was worn out after this lot. We had been using all the trees and bushes as turning points all round the garden. The advantage of the snow is that we don’t wear the grass out, but it is much colder on the paws. The girls wanted to come out and play with us, but Shadow it at that point of her season when we are absolutely not allowed outside together. To be honest I remember the last time I thought I might try and help her out and it was a very painful experience. I know it would be stupid to try, but when the old pheromones get involved I lose all sense of what would be beneficial. I’ve been trying to explain to Ari how he’s going to feel when he’s older, but to be honest I think it’s one of those things you just have to experience for yourself.
