Saturday 28th January 2012 – Win tickets to Crufts and meet Aristotle

We are starting our build up to Crufts and Discover Dogs today. Over the next couple of weeks we will be having a competition to win tickets to attend. If you win, you will have the opportunity to see the greatest dog show in the world absolutely free and depending on which day you attend you could meet Aristotle in person. I’ll let you know when I know which days he is going. We will have 2 pairs of tickets to give away over the next couple of weeks and I will tell you more about it as we go on. You can find out more about Crufts at http://www.crufts.org.uk/

I get excited about Crufts, even though I’m the one who stays at home to look after things here. Firstly I just know that my Mistress will come home loaded with the most fantastic new goodies for us all to share. Everything from new beds to toys to dog treats. It’s canine heaven. Secondly I love how happy the girls were when they came home last year. They had told so many people about our breed and given hundreds of families the chance to

stroke and pet them that they were quite euphoric, but very tired. Here’s a picture of the girls from last year.

Ari is a very bright young puppy. He has worked out that if he goes to the back door it will be opened for him. Now every time he wants to have a run round, chase the birds, or eat the bird seed he just wanders down the stairs to the back door. My Poor Mistress has to keep getting up for him and it is driving her mad. She can’t wait for the warmer weather when she can leave the door open. He has also realised that if he refuses to go into a room that my Mistress is heading towards, before she goes in, then she can’t shut the door and leave him inside the room when she isn’t there. He has also realised if he refuses to go into the rooms with crates she can’t shut him in one of those. Sadly, he is a dog and for all his intelligence he can still be bribed with anything that vaguely resembles food. Why were we born so shallow?
