Thursday 19th January 2012 – The facts of life for a puppy

Aristotle is reaching that difficult age where he’s starting to ask questions. In his case it isn’t the birds and the bees but more the bitches and the dogs. What do I say to one so young? It reminds me of when I was young and didn’t know why the vet kept prodding and poking me. I know she was listening as she had an amused expression on her face that seemed to increase the more uncomfortable I became. I did wonder whether it should be Shadow that told him, but from what my Mistress said Shadow was more shocked about what was involved when it came to it than you would expect and clearly hadn’t been told herself what it all entailed. I just need to take a deep breath and get on with it.

Ari, it’s like this…
