Monday 16th January 2012 – Mischief all the way – What do you expect? I’m a puppy.

As Alfie is busy with my Mistress’s book launch (see yesterday’s diary) I’m having the opportunity to write today. There is a moral for Alfie to learn today. Never let a puppy write Monday Mischief. Actually, there are two morals. The one is never let a puppy get his paws on your camera. I was playing with the remnants of blue cow and threw them up in the air. They came down on Alfie’s back but it was really funny, because he didn’t realise. That was the point I had to run and get the camera. I just couldn’t resist taking this photo. He’s going to kill me when he finds out. I wish I could say that was my only piece of mischief for the week, but sadly I would be fibbing. Most of what I’ve done so far has been

fairly harmless. Obviously with the exception of eating my Mistress’s handbag including some paracetamol, but at the end of the day no real harm was done. Now, I have upset my Mistress. She used to go to the south of France and the last time she went she paid a final visit to one of her favourite shops and bought a beautiful notebook that has a special magnetic flap that holds it shut. Even I can see that it is a beautiful cover. Sadly, I also found it very chewable and the flap is now useless magnet or no magnet. The sad bit is she only took it out of its cover and started using it at the beginning of January. I almost felt sorry and I had had to stand on tiptoe to pull it off the desk.

It’s all right having Monday Mischief, but I have reached that stage of puppyhood when I also need Tuesday Trouble, Wednesday Wickedness, Thursday Torment and Friday Frolics. I found out that I like fruit juice. I found out accidentally when I thought it might be fun to chew through the apple juice carton that was being stored on the floor in the kitchen. Now I find I have a weakness for both apple juice and orange juice. Yesterday I started on two cartons of each. I did manage to open one of the orange juice cartons properly, but I had to bit through the others. I drank everything that came out. Alfie helped me a little bit. I’m sorry to say the cartons are no longer stored at puppy level. They have been moved to a shelf higher up so now I’m going to have to ask my mum if she’ll climb up on the chair and pass one down to me.

  2. You’ve really been busy with mischief! LOL I don’t think we puppies ever outgrow mischief – wouldn’t our families miss all the excitement?! 😉

  3. Haha that is a lot of mischief for one little puppy. Our people are taking note and will try to remember these things for when the puppy in this house gets a bit more freedom.

  4. Hey Dude,

I’m super impressed at how quickly you’ve picked up this Mischief thing – I think we’ve got another Mischief Maker in the making!! Alfie’s got a bit of competition on his hands!! 🙂

    Have fun,

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂
