Oh I shouldn’t laugh, but then it’s Monday Mischief so I suppose my mischief is laughing at the predicament. It serves her right for not letting me help. Two batches of marmalade were made yesterday. Two pans were cooking at the same time. At the end one half has some whisky added and one half doesn’t. The half with the whisky has set the half without is still really runny and needs to be boiled up again. I volunteered to eat it exactly as it was, but apparently that wouldn’t be good for me.
Ari is the real mischief maker. Blue cow has been shredded, Mr Happy is now nothing more than a smile and we have reached the conclusion that he gets just a s much fun with an empty plastic bottle anyway! I’m sure toys are bought more for the benefit of the owner than the dog. We’ll play with a stick, a piece of string or a garden plant with just as much enthusiasm.
Ari went for another walk with the girls yesterday. He’s asked if he could have a quiet day
today as he is quite tired. The girls have been having a great time, but seem to come back caked in mud. Where they walk looks much more like a paddy field than it does a normal field. Megan said she went to investigate but it definitely isn’t rice that the farmer is trying to grow. I do hope the crop likes water!
My book sales were doing better last week. There was a moment when I thought I could break into some of the charts that mattered, but then we went down again. Take a look at Alfie’s Woods http://amzn.to/xmJJSq (It’s on the other Amazon sites too). I can now proudly say that I have two 5* reviews. It’s very exciting.

That’s a great update on lots of fun stuff. I would love your marmalade recipes. Love a good marmalade. Congrats on your book sales.
Tee Hee Alfie,
I’m with you on your theory about the toys dude – I LOVE plastic bottles, even the other day I pointed out to Dad that I should have one he was about to put into the recycling bin – I just sit and look at him – it works a treat!! I also LOVE the roll the kitchen paper towel is on – I can hear when they take the last piece off and come running, then I get to shred it and then they’re allowed to put it in the bin!! Tee Hee
Good luck with your book, I saw the review the other Alfie did, it was great!! 🙂
Have a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
I am getting ready to go check out your book! It’s hard not to taste things that are being made, and marmalade….sounds so yummy!

Not sure we like marmalade, but anything with the whiskey can’t be bad. 🙂
