Sunday 27th November 2011 – For old time’s sake

We have phone and internet and my Mistress now realises just how empty her real life is. If you take away the technology she’s as lost as the rest of the family. She says she is never going to take it for granted again. Of course I know she will, but it’s a nice thought.

The puppies discovered the wonder of best steak yesterday and they will never be the same again. They were only given a tiny corner of a piece of sandwich steak, but that was enough for Annette to push Aristotle out of the way with more force than was ladylike. My Mistress held her back to make sure they both got to try a little. To say they liked it would be an understatement. When it had gone they continued to chew the bowl to try to remove the pattern and then cried because there really wasn’t any more. Knowing what a softy my Mistress is I can imagine her starting to buy steak more often just for Aristotle!

The trip to look at a possible car was successful yesterday. There was one very funny aspect to it. It has the most amazing sound system installed, with 12 speakers dotted around the car. My Mistress said when you mainly listen to talking books that is probably 11 speakers too many. Anyway, there is a big speaker known as a sub-woofer which ironically is right next to where the dog crates would be. I said we could all sub-woof together, but my Mistress said that might get a bit much so she has made sure it is possible to turn that one off so that she doesn’t disturb whoever has to sit in the back, which of course will not be me!

Today someone is coming to look at buying ‘my’ car. I’ve been trying to think of all the faults I can mention to put them off. I know it’s inevitable that someone will buy it, but I don’t think I’m mentally prepared for it yet. Today I’m posting a photo for old time’s sake.
