I’ve written a new song. This is to be sung to the tune of ‘ten green bottles’
Seven young puppies playing in their pen,
seven young puppies playing in their pen,
and if one young puppy, should up and leave the den,
there’d be six young puppies playing in the pen.
Six young puppies playing in the pen,
six young puppies playing in the pen,
and if one young puppy should up and leave the den,
there’d be five young puppies crying in the pen.
Feel free to join in when you think you’ve got the hang of it!
It’s getting awfully quiet around here. Well it would be if the remaining puppies would stop crying. I think they have finally understood what is going on. Before when a puppy left the pen, sooner or later it came back, with the exception of tiny little Aisha, but they were only a matter of hours old at that point and hadn’t really counted the size of the pack. Now they know that someone is missing and it’s time to make their own way in the world. It’s a
scary place for an eight week old puppy.
Dora went off ok. She was quite quiet as she put her little harness on and sat in the car. Her new owners were lovely and very reassuring to her. She’s going to let us know when she’s home safely.
