Everything is very quiet – you can see the video here – it’s quite short today as everyone is very sleepy. They had visitors this afternoon and to be honest given there were seven people all wanting to cuddle the puppies the little darlings smiled for as long as they could and then said they were tired. As if that wasn’t enough, they went for their microchipping. Little Adrienne was bravest and didn’t so much as whimper. Duke (Amigo) turns out to be a coward after my own heart and the others were all somewhere in between. The whole thing has left them very sleepy puppies indeed.
In some ways the tiredness does give their toys a short period of respite. The grey toy is now completely minus and ear. The ear has been taken away for refastening, but there has been no time for the painstaking operation required.
The funniest thing about the microchipping expedition was getting them all in the car. In the end 5 went in a crate which my Mistress and James carried between them and two went in the carrier. In two weeks time when they go for their first injection my Mistress is planning to take them in two batches as otherwise it could be impossible.
