Tuesday 10th March 2015 – What a day

Yesterday was a stressful and tiring day for me. My book launch was fun, but I really needed to sleep afterwards. Don’t forget you can join the party. Now I’m getting excited about my radio interview this afternoon and I really don’t know what to expect. I keep asking our Mistress if there is anything I should do for it, but she says just be myself. Apparently there are unlikely to be any other dogs there, but there will be some nice people so that’s good.

Shadow went for a check-up at the vet. Her leg is still not right. She now has to have an x-ray on Wednesday to see the extent of the damage. We’re still hoping it might not be a torn ligament, but it is looking quite likely. She’s really miserable as she’s having to sit quietly in the other room and can’t either play with Aristotle or go for walks. It’s very hard to keep Shadow still and quiet, that’s more my forte than hers. Our Mistress is asking if Ari and I want longer walks as she needs the exercise even if we don’t. The problem is, I don’t want to and with Ari’s bad leg he’s not supposed to walk too far. Our Mistress is going to have to do her exercise on her own without any company… either that or cut down on the glasses of wine she’s been drinking in the evening!

What my Mistress is really worried about is how quickly Shadow will be fully recovered and whether she will be able to mate. As long as any operation is soon, there is just enough time as long as all goes well.
